metro says around 11.... three men broke into her house.. ordered her to the floor and started to ransack the place. when officers got there, the suspects took off. police shut down the whole neighborhood to look for them. eventually they were able to track them down and arrest them. the woman was not harmed. 06:24:10:26 "the victim seems to be holding up okay. naturally, startled, but she was uninjured which we're very, very thankful for." police were able to recover the items taken from the women. we're just about 12 hours away from finding out which republican presidential candidate will win nevada. this is a key state in the election - and everyone is

happen here today. 13 action news reporter yasmeen hassan is live at the silverton casino, breaking down what we can expect. the first thing on today's schedule - marco rubio's rally. that is happening right here at 8 a-m. then later today - ben carson is holding a luncheon at red rock from 12- 30 until 1-30. they are the only two candidates scheduled to make any campaign appearances in town today... ...but they are both trying to catch up to donald trump. a recent c-n-n o-r-c poll shows he has the support of 45% of the people who are planning to caucus. marco rubio and ted cruz are pretty much neck and neck. cruz at 17. trailing behind is ben carson with 7%.followed by john kasich with 5%. even with those numbers, we still don't know how today will turn out. that same poll shows that nearly a quarter of people who will be caucusing still haven't made up their minds about who to support.

news one of cruz's top spokesmen is out of a job this morning.. after he distributed a video blatantly misquotiing marco rubio. in it you see rubio walk past a man with a bible, and on the screen it says-- got a good book there. not many answers in it. but what rubio actually says is 'all the answers are in there." (marco rubio/(r) presidential candidate): "every single day something comes out of the cruz campaign that's deceptive and untrue." cruz asked for and accepted the staffer's resignation saying this was a "grave error of judgment" donald trump seized the opportunity, tweeting out-- just saw the phony ad by cruz "more dirty tricks." the family of a young woman found dead in a laundry chute at "the d" hotel talks to 13 action news, as they try to figure out what lead to her death. 26-year old kalli medina-brown's body was discovered by hotel staff early sunday morning.

(sen. ted cruz) "rick tyler's a good man, this was a grave error of judgement. it turned out the news story he sent around was false but i'll tell you, even if it was true, we are not a campaign that is going to question the faith of another candidate. donald trump is also getting involved in this. he is criticizing cruz's camapaign for posting the video. we will have to see wait and see if any of this has an affect on the caucuses tonight. just into our newsroom..

the woman found dead at the d. both women say 26-year-old kalli medina-brown was one of their oldest and dearest friends. "i don't have a lot of friends? and she's one of my best friends. it's just really hard." county district court tomorrow. bail is now set at 25 thousand dollars for the man arrested, after his 12 year old son fatally shot himself. police say the gun the 12 year old sincere manuel used belonged to his dad, olin manuel. olin is a convicted felon and shouldn't have had a gun in the first place. investigators in kalamazoo, michigan are revealing new details about the man suspected of going on a mass shooting spree, killing 6 people. police say they found a handgun and a heavy duty jacket for concealing a weapon, on suspect jason brian dalton. plus, a total of 11 rifles inside his home. he's now facing 16 charges tied to saturday's rampage. two of his victims are still fighting to survive, but their loved ones have a message for the shooter's family this morning. hold anything against the family." investigators are still trying to figure out the motive behind the shooting spree. meanwhile, dalton has been denied bail. developing now... families of the sandy hook shooting victims are suing the gun-maker responsible for the a-r-15. that's the rifle adam lanza used to kill 26 people at sandy hook elementary school back in 20-12. the families say the weapon should not have been sold to the public. he chose the ar-15 because he was aware of how many shots it could get out, how lethal it was, how it was designed, that it would serve his objective of killing as many people as possible in the shortest time possible." the lawsuit is the most recent test of a federal law designed to protect gun makers from liability when their waepons are used in crimes. the judge will review the arguments over the next 60 days before deciding if the case will continue. a southern california man is suing metro...
